Built in 1933, it was in new classicism style, with brown brick wails. There was 8-storey tower with pavilion tilted roof and pseudo-stone decorative facade. It used to be the
Horse Race Club in 1930’s Shanghai, then the site for Shanghai Museum and Shanghai Library. It is now Shanghai Art Museum, a cultural relic unit under municipal protection.
