Studios and design offices were set up. On the neighboring Taikang Road, there were galleries, handcraft shops, and also studios of famous painters, such as Chen Yifei, Er Dongqiang and Wang Jieyin.

With a floor area of 60,000 sq.m, the Grand Theatre has in total 2600 seats in three theatres. admin05/06/2010 - 10:54This 4-storey building was in western "returning to the ancients" style. Built in 1930 as Nanjing Grand Theatre, it was transformed into Shanghai Concert Hall in 1959. The luxurious facilities and environment made it first-class Theatre in Shanghai. The wonderful acoustic effect had been approved by many Chinese and foreign artists. It has moved 66.4 meters horizontally for the construction of M8 line.

Founded in 1928, rebuilt in 1932, it was transformed into Shanghai first wide screen cinema in 1958. In "cultural revolution" it was renamed as "Oriental Red Cinema", and from 1992, it restored to the original name and appearance.
